Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how BoxHauler LLC ("BoxHauler," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the BoxHauler application and website (the "Service"). BoxHauler is a business tool for box truck owner-operators; the information we handle is primarily the business data you choose to put into it.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and sign-in details when you create an account.
- Business data you enter — loads, routes, rates, broker contacts, invoices, hours, pre-trip records, and profile settings such as truck MPG and fuel price.
- Documents you upload — bills of lading, proofs of delivery, and compliance documents (for example insurance or registration records).
- Payment information — handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive your subscription plan and payment status; we do not store your full card number.
- Usage and device information — basic technical data generated when you use the Service (such as log and device information collected by the platform the app runs on) used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide the Service: storing your records, computing figures like rate-per-mile and profit estimates, generating invoices, and showing compliance reminders and alerts.
- To send service emails, such as alerts and notifications tied to your account activity.
- To process subscriptions, trials, and billing.
- To respond to support requests and communicate about the Service.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve how the Service works.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your business data for advertising.
3. Your Data Stays Yours — and Stays Separate
BoxHauler is multi-tenant: your records are tied to your account and are not visible to other users. Your broker lists, rates, invoices, and documents are your business information. We access individual account data only to operate the Service, provide support you request, or as required by law.
4. Service Providers
We rely on a small set of processors to run the Service. Each receives only what it needs for its role:
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| Glide | Application platform hosting the app and its data |
| Stripe | Payment and subscription processing |
| Brevo | Transactional email delivery |
| Make | Workflow automation connecting the systems above |
| Netlify | Website hosting |
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of BoxHauler, our users, or others.
5. Emails You Send Through the Service
When you use features that compose emails to your brokers (for example sending a proof of delivery or an invoice), the message is sent to the recipient you choose, either from your own mail application or through our email provider. The content of those messages is between you and your recipient.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your data while your account is active so the Service can function. If you cancel, your data remains available for a reasonable period in case you return, after which it may be deleted. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us; we will delete it except where we must retain records for legal, billing, or security reasons.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including the security measures of the platforms listed above, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — please keep your sign-in credentials private and maintain your own copies of critical business documents.
8. Your Choices & Rights
- You can view and edit your business data directly in the app.
- You can request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing us.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under state law (such as rights to access, correct, or delete personal information). We honor verified requests consistent with applicable law.
9. Children
The Service is for business use by adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide notice through the Service or by email before it takes effect. The effective date above shows when this policy was last revised.
